Ribarnica (fish market)
The Ribarnica is Stara Luka's fish market: an open stone loggia on the quay where the catch is sold at dawn.
From above
An open arcade with six stone tables, baskets and crates, wet paving and a wash channel running to the quay, and gulls on the ridge.
Inside
One hall, 12.2 × 6.2 m clear: two rows of tables with 2.2 m aisles, a salting corner and a scale beam. Four arches of 2.6 m face the riva.
Why on the quay
Like every Dalmatian ribarnica, it stands on the riva because fish go from boat to table to a seawater wash. The maestral carries the smell out to sea.
Signs
None yet: the empty bracket sign_mount_fm_01 on the west end pier waits for the labeling pass.
