LOAA WikiThe world of the Adriatic isles

Welcome to the LOAA Wiki

Last updated: 29 September 2026, 21:15 CEST

The free encyclopedia of the LOAA world: its islands, towns, heroes, the dead beneath the Glavica, and how the game is made.

LOAA is a top-down, party-based fantasy RPG with a hand-painted look. The camera floats above the party like in Baldur's Gate 3, the colours are painted in the spirit of World of Warcraft Classic and League of Legends, and combat is real-time. The world is a chain of islands: a sunlit Mediterranean isle, a frozen Nordic north, a land of desert tombs and jungle pyramids, and a small ruined island between them.

This wiki covers the game as it is being built. Where the story hasn't been decided yet, pages say so plainly: Unconfirmed — awaiting the director. See Open questions.

The Stara Luka town blueprint

The hand-inked town blueprint of Stara Luka (TOWN-D1, rev 3.3). The Octagon mausoleum stands on the Glavica headland across the harbour.

Stara Luka ("old harbour") is a small Dalmatian-style fishing town on Island 1, and the setting of the first demo level. A stone quay, the Riva, runs along the harbour; a single timber pier, the Veli mul, reaches out into the basin. Up the stepped Velika kala lies the pjaca with the harbour temple and its campanile. And across a narrow stretch of water, on the Glavica headland, the great Octagon looks back at the town from the middle of a cemetery where the dead no longer rest.

Did you know...

  • ...that the Stara Luka cemetery sits on a headland across the water because a medieval town buried its dead outside the walls, on rock no one could farm, in sight of the whole waterfront? (Glavica Cemetery)
  • ...that going down the mausoleum dungeon is going back in time: medieval crypt, Roman catacombs, a natural cave, and an Iron Age sanctum below the sea?
  • ...that below the harbour the sea stands back as vertical walls of water, the only large break of physics in the demo? (The held sea)
  • ...that every shutter on Island 1 is plain brown wood, by the director's standing rule? (Regional styles)
  • ...that nothing in the game world carries text yet? Signs, plaques and names come later in one labeling pass; until then buildings speak through their architecture alone.
